Mahalabia with fruits and jelly

     Mahalabia is an Arabic desert of boiled milk. It’s very light and refreshing.

  • 8 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 liter milk
  • 4 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp rose-water
  • canned fruits (optional)
  • 1 packet cherry or strawberry jelly
  1. In a pot add milk, corn flour, sugar and rose-water. Whisk well and put on heat. Stir until mixture gets thick.
  2. Pour into serving glasses. Chill until it gets thick in fridge. 
  3. Prepare jelly according to instruction. Let it cool at room temperature.
  4. Poor jelly on top of mahalabia. And you can add inside jelly canned fruits.
