Mahalabia is an Arabic desert of boiled milk. It’s very light and refreshing.
- 8 tbsp sugar (or to taste)
- 1 liter milk
- 4 tbsp corn flour
- 2 tbsp rose-water
- canned fruits (optional)
- 1 packet cherry or strawberry jelly
- In a pot add milk, corn flour, sugar and rose-water. Whisk well and put on heat. Stir until mixture gets thick.
- Pour into serving glasses. Chill until it gets thick in fridge.
- Prepare jelly according to instruction. Let it cool at room temperature.
- Poor jelly on top of mahalabia. And you can add inside jelly canned fruits.
