Persian Soup with Beans, Cheakpeas, Lentils and Spinach

      A gorgeous and colorful Persian soup that contains: beans, cheakpeas, lentils and spinach. So healthy and so filling.

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 50 ml oil
  • 1/2 cup black eyed beans
  • 1/2 cup green lentils
  • 1 can cheakpeas
  • 1 cube maggi 
  • 4 cups water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  1. Heat oil in a pan. Fry onions and garlic, stir in turmeric and cumin.
  2. Add water, beans, lentils, Maggi, cumin. Allow to boil and simmer slowly for around 30 min.
  3. Add spinach, cheakpeas, season with salt and pepper and cook for 5-10 min more.
  4. Blend in a blender until smooth.

Garnish with yougurt and serve.
